HK&HDCA Girls Development and High Performance Programs

HK&HDCA Girls Development and High Performance Programs

The Coaches’ Association (HKHDCCA) is committed to increasing female participation in cricket at all levels from beginners, social cricket programs, club cricket and representative programs. HKHDCCA has three female Cricket Australia Representative (formerly Level 2) accredited coaches, two of whom graduated through HKHDCCA’s pathway. HKHDCCA representatives work in consultation with Cricket NSW, the HK&HDCA Girls Cricket Coordinator, affiliated clubs and local schools to increase female participation in cricket and to enhance their skills.

HKHDCCA has previously supplied accredited coaches to Girls only cricket programs, in partnership with Cricket NSW and the Sydney Sixers. The Coaches’ Association has also supplied coaches to Girls only Blast programs within HK&HDCA.

Moving forward, the Coaches’ Association plans to organise Girls pre-season skills development programs, aimed at providing opportunities for girls to either increase their fundamental skills, or for the more advanced players, refine their specialist skills, which will enhance their performance and love of the game.

Additionally, our high-performance programs - led by Cricket Australia Representative (Level 2) Coach and our High Performance Girls Coordinator, Zoya Thakur - aim to provide expert coaching to HK&HDCA representative players in preparation for the season ahead, as well as guidance for those taking the next step toward NSW Female Premier Cricket. Stay tuned!
