Ben Garratt (Cricket Manager, Sydney North West) announced that the Cricket NSW – Community Partnership of the Year Award had been jointly won by the Coaches’ Association and HK&HDCA. Ben Garratt presented the State award to Bruce Wood OAM (President, Coaches’ Association), Connor Hindmarch (Head Coach), Justin Gross (President, HK&HDCA) and Scott Reid (Executive Officer, HK&HDCA) on 2 June 2025.

Ben Garratt further advised that Cricket NSW established a Volunteer Experience Action Plan (2024 – 2027) and introduced a Community Distinguished Service Award in 2024-25 to recognise the vital role volunteers play in cricket (minimum length of service – 25 years). Bruce Wood OAM (President, Coaches’ Association) was honoured to be selected as one of the inaugural recipients of this prestigious award.

Bruce Wood presented a wall plaque to Karthik Thanumoni (VP, Customer Success, PurpleScape), for his commitment towards the creation of HKHDCCA’s new website www.hkhdcca.com.au, which went live on 24 May 2025. Bruce expressed his appreciation to the PurpleScape team in Chennai, India, who worked on our website, led by Swadhin Dhal.
